Problem: Production companies strive to improve the performance of their injectors to maximize recovery while minimizing operating costs. Performance is strongly affected by injected water quality. Poor quality leads to flaking rust and scale in equipment and accelerated biological activity, which plug fractures and reduce formation permeability over time.
Solution: A producer provided 11 years of North Sea injector and water quality data for 14 wells in two differenct blocks. ADMi and its E&P industry partner, Houston-based Advantek International applied data mining tools to reveal the dynamics and relative impacts of various parameters impacting injector performance.
